Another sad day at Braefield. Today we said farewell to our Fancy Pants. She has gone to live with Leslie and Grant and her cousin Honey (Tansy x Euchre). We think this was ‘meant to be’, as Leslie was smitten by Fancy a year and a half ago! Little did we all know that Fancy would end up being Leslie’s little girl! Funny how things work out. We will miss her to bits, but we know she is very loved by all of us, and she is going to have a wonderful life:-)
This weekend we said a sad farewell to our Ella Bella. It broke our hearts to let our girl go, but what a life she is going to have! Ella is so lucky, she now lives with her Auntie Nike, (Salem’s sister) and the Pirie family in Toronto.
Now Ella’s days will be filled with walks, runs and swims in the park. She will get lots of cuddles and we know our cuddly Ella will just suck it up:-)
Ella will always have a very special place in our hearts and we hope she will come visit us often
I love you my Ella Bella.
We are thrilled that our Tansy showed so nicely at the Grey-Bruce Kennel Club’s
annual dog show at Harrison Park in Owen Sound Aug 5th – 7th, 2008.
Tansy was expertly handled by Rebecca to her 3 consecutive wins in which she obtained her Championship!
Now Tansy can stay home and concentrate on her 1st upcoming litter:-)
Our boy has found his forever home! He is now living with his mum’s half sister Jade where he will be very much loved and hopefully not too spoilt:-)
A big congratulations to our friends Kate McDermott and Denis Couture of Hollymere Kennels for finishing our Briar Rose and George’s sire today! Spice finished his Championship going Best of Winners and Best of Breed! Way to go Spice!
Shasta wins! See our brags page for more info:-)
Braefield’s How Sweet It Is “Hannah” December 19, 2004 – August 31, 2006
Gerret’s Jessamine of Avonrose CD,WCI,JH,CGC “Bailey” January 22, 1995 – November 24, 2006
The year 2006 started off wonderfully with some of our dogs obtaining obedience
and retrieving titles and also obtaining points towards a Conformation Championship.
Never did we expect 2006 to end so tragically. We were completely blindsided by the tragic
and unexpected loss of our sweet Hannah at only 20 months of age.
Then, less than 3 months later we suffered another devastating blow losing our dear Bailey.
2006 was a year of tears, tears of joy and laughter and then a river of mournful,
painful tears, ones that just do not seem to subside with time.
We miss our girls ever so much, words just cannot express how wonderful
these two were and what they meant to us.
Memorials for our Hannah and Bailey can be found on our Rainbow Bridge page.
These pictures are how I like to remember the girls, healthy, happy
and in Bailey’s case, still in her prime:-)
We are thrilled to announce that our special boy Derby has found a wonderful home!
Actually he has found the “BEST” home ever. Yes, Derby is going
to live with Shari and Bill Best and their two young children.
Derby will be continuing with his obedience training with his new family at
McRae Dog Training in Caledonia. We are hoping that we will be seeing Derby
in the obedience ring in the future!!!
Paige showed beautifully at the Guelph & District dog show held in Fergus, Ontario….
see our “Brags” page for more info…
Our sweet Bailey turned 10 years old on January 22nd!
Still the reigning Queen of the house, Bailey shows no sign of slowing down!
We would also like to wish Bailey’s mom “Willow”, Happy Birthday!
Willy turned 12years old on January 18th
Trio made a new little friend on the weekend. While attending
the GRCC/GRCGT Regional Specialty in Cambridge this past weekend, we had the
pleasure meeting a family of youngsters who are participating
in Junior Handling. This very cute little guy ended up winning his class with our Trio!
Our Bailey is now recovering from her CCL surgery.
She is enjoying the extra attention she is getting, especially
loving the ultrasound she is getting from her physio therapist!
We are expecting Bailey to be up and around and stalking the frogs
in the pond soon! Looking for a physio therapist? Check out our link to Pet Rehab Services.
We are just thrilled to see that Thyme has very quickly adjusted to her new home.
Our sweet Thyme has now left us for her new life in Caledon East.
Thyme will now be living out her senior years with Roger and Patricia Kenyon
and Thyme’s two daugthers Katie and Annie. (Thyme x Davey litter) We know that Thyme
will be absolutely spoiled ROTTEN and very, very much loved.
She is so lucky to now be known as Thyme Kenyon!!! We will miss
our Thyme very much….nudge, nudge. Kiss her every night for us!
