We are just thrilled that our lovely Flora is now a Canadian Show Champion!
She is the first progeny of Tansy and Simon’s to be awarded this title. Just love her to bits!!!
And again our lovely Dikke Thea “Dutch Consolidation Sunday Mirror” goes
Best Puppy In Breed at the same show under judge Mr Bob Rowbotham.
This will be Dikke Thea’s last show as a “junior puppy”:-)

We are so very proud to announce that Breeze is the very first Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH)from our kennel!!! (Breeze is a daughter of our dear Paige and Harry). This is quite a huge accomplishment and we are so very proud of Breeze and her owner/trainer Wendy for obtaining this Championship title and at the tender age of just 4 yrs old!!!! Breeze is now known as OTCH Braefield’s Order of The Pheonix:-) and she is owned/trained and loved by Wendy and John Forsyth of Caledonia. Well done Wendy and Breeze!!!!
I am so pleased that after taking such a long (years) break from retrieving that my heart girl Briar Rose at the tender age of 9 yrs obtained her WCI title.
This title qualified her for the Golden Retriever Club of Canada’s Versatility Certificate…having accomplished Conformation points, Obedience and Retrieving titles.
A title that I always wanted to get with her. “I love you Briar Rose”

We are so proud of our two girls. Paige at 8 1/2 yrs obtaining her Working Certificate Title (Retrieving) and also our youngest girl Dikke Thea obtaining the same title at the same trial. Two girls who couldn’t be more opposite.
Paige, the Grand Lady, slowly and gracefully retrieving her birds – Dikke Thea full of enthusiasim, racing on land and then her signature ‘leaping, diving’ water entry! Two very different girls coming home with their title and rosettes:-)

On April 23, 2011 Breeze earned her CD with two high in class and one second place in the Novice A class.
She will now start training for her CDX! …. which should be a “Breeze”!!!
Breeze is owned and loved by her proud owners Wendy and John Forsyth.
And also in April, Kara, competing in Novice B, obtained her CD title in one weekend placing fourth in the second trial,
and third in the final trial. So, on to open!! Kara is owned and loved by her proud owners Susan and Bryan Leece.

We are so proud that our beautiful Flora obtained her first set
of points at the Norfolk Kennel Club show on April 3, 2011.
Flora showed beautifully and happily taking Winner’s Bitch and Best of Opposite over some very strong competition!
And not to be outdone, our young Dikke Thea made her show debut
at the Norfolk Kennel Club show going Best Puppy In Breed on April 2nd
under judge Mr Mark Houston-McMillan.
Flora is well on her way to becoming a Champion!
On April 23rd at the Fergus show under judge Ms. K. Ramey-Leblanc,
Flora goes Best of Winners and Best of Opposite for 5 pts!
At the same venue, on April 22nd, under judge Ms. J. Shrub,
Flora goes Reserve Winners Bitch and Dikke Thea wins Best Puppy In Breed!!!

This photo was taken in June/09 at the Able Living (formerly known as Participation House) annual Picnic.
Melvin is absolutely in love with Arrow. When we visit every second Thursday evening, Melvin will slowly and carefully extend his hand and shake mine. He will quietly say, over and over, “I love him”, pointing to Arrow.
Melvin is a must-see person on our rounds or there will be incredible disappointment.
Arrow and his owner Peter Kuttenkeuler have been participating in the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program since 2004.
We are very proud of Jazz who not only obtained her obedience title, but then went on to become a St John’s Ambulance Therapy dog! Jazz is owned and adored by Wendy & John Forsyth and her sister Bree (Paige x Harry)

Emma lives with Deb & Robert Bonser in Winnipeg and we are thrilled that Emma is a working girl with St John’s Ambulance:-)
Our lovely Shasta obtained her Championship title, beautifully handled by Graeme Burdon under repected judge Ms Virginia Lyne.
Ms Lyne also put up Shasta’s mum Paige – so we know she likes our girls!!

We are very proud to hear that our Tansy’s sister Jazz has now obtained her Companion Dog title! Jazz placed in each class she was entered in and banged off her title in one weekend!
Jazz is also enjoying agility classes and may be continuing on in obedience as well:-) Jazz is owned, loved by her owners Wendy & John Forsyth.
At the Aurora & District KC on May 31, 2009, Simon took Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite for 5 pts to complete his Canadian Championship title.
Simon’s first points were awarded at 7 months old under a judge from Finland and his final points were also under a Finnish judge. As a note, Simon has been exclusively owner-handled to all of his wins.

At the Purina National CKC Charity Event on November 22nd we are so very pleased
at our Simon taking Best of Winners under judge Dr Michael Woods.
And at the same venue, not to be overlooked, our Grace then went
Reserve Winners Bitch in her 2nd time in the ring!
Grace was nicely handled by Rebecca Macauley to this win:-)

On Thanksgiving weekend Simon was shown under Judge Brian Taylor to win his Junior Puppy Class,
then Reserve Winners Male and on to Best Puppy in Breed and
then to BEST PUPPY IN GROUP!!! What a day!!!!
At the Burlington Kennel Club Paige took Winners Bitch on Friday and on Sunday,
expertly handled by Rebecca Macauley, Paige again won to finish her Canadian Championship.

On August 15th at the St Catharines Kennel Club in Beamsville our Simon
went Winners Dog for his first Champion points under Finnish judge K. Jarvin.
At the Grey-Bruce Kennel Club our Tansy became a Champion in three short days!!!!
Going Best of Winners under A.Warnock, Winners Bitch under E. Whitney
and Winners Bitch again under B. Whitney thus securing her CKC title!!! What a thrill it was!!!
Tansy was beautifully handled to these wins by Rebecca Macauley:-)

We are proud of our Georgie Boy, today finishing his Conformation Championship
at the Hamilton Kennel Club show in Rockton!
George was expertly handled to the win by Emily Burdon:-)
Now George has titles in each venue and will be obtaining his GRCC Versatility Certificate!
Our wee Simon stepped into the ring for the first time at just 6 months of age,
on June 29th and took Best Puppy In Breed and also Reserve Winners Dog!
His wins were under Breeder/Judge Cherie Berger which made the win especially sweet:-)
We are expecting many good things from this very handsome and sweet young boy!

On his first time in the show ring our Harry obtained a 1st in Junior Puppy Class
and Best Puppy In Breed over a Specials Puppy! We are so proud of our young boy!
George obtained his first 5pts expertly handled to the win by Emily Burdon.
Always a happy and attentive boy George showed his heart out this day!

Paige took Winner’s Bitch and Best of Opposite under Judge Virginia Lynne at the
HKC show in Rockton. Paige showed like a dream and showed off what
a nice girl she truly is. Way to go Paigey:-)
We are just thrilled that our Shasta, with some very stiff competition, placed first
in her class at the Golden Retriever Club of Quebec’s Regional Specialty under
Bermuda judge Mrs Jennifer Johnson. I was honoured as Shasta’s breeder to be the one
to handle Shasta for her owners, Shawna and Cal Fryer, to this win:-)

We are thrilled to announce that our Hannah took Winner’s Bitch at two consecutive shows
at Erie Shores to earn 3 Ch pts. The icing on the cake was that Hannah was
breeder/owner handled for these wins! We are very proud of our young girl!
And, in another venue, I had so much fun with our Abbey
at the Mountain Valley Retriever trials. Abbey worked like a dream for me
easily obtaining her Working Certificate title! Now we can continue on to
the Junior Hunt tests this summer:-)

Two New Obedience Titles! |
We are so proud of our George and his performance this past weekend at
the Caledon Kennel Club’s Obedience trials. George qualified in both trials he was in
with a 2nd placement score of 187 1/2 and a 1st placement with the score of 192.
George also received an award for the highest scoring Golden Retriever in Novice A.
We are very proud of our George and Briar Rose!
Brother and sister have now completed their obedience titles in 3 consecutive trials,
Briar Rose obtaining her CDX in one weekend with 1st, 2nd and 4th placements!

We were so pleased to be present when Emma earned the final leg of obedience for her CDX title!
In four trials Emma obtained 3 High In Class Scores!
Emma is owned by Dave and Sandra Paton of Cathkinbrae Kennels.
We are thrilled to announce that Arrow has now obtained his CDX title. Arrow performed
wonderfully at the Caledon trials with scores of 193 1/2, 194 and 194 1/2.
Congratulations to Arrow and his owner/trainer Peter Kuttenkeuler….all of your hard work
has paid off!!! Now onto those Utility trials!

We were very proud of our girls today at the Golden Retriever Club of Canada’s National Specialty.
Hannah took 4th place in the Junior Puppy Bitch Class, and Paige placed 3rd in the
Bred By Exhibitor Class. The girls were shown under Austrailan Judge Bruce McLean.

We are so thrilled, our Briar Rose has now earned
her Companion Dog title! In four consecutive trials, Briar Rose
received 3 High In Class Ribbons and 1 Second Place Ribbon with the
scores of 194 1/2, 197, 194 1/2 and 194. A steady and consistent worker
Briar Rose worked like the “dream” she is.
Our ‘Paige’ took Winners Bitch from the Open Class for 5 Points,
this past weekend at the Fergus Show under Judge M. McCuaig.
Paige was, as always, wonderfully handled by Rebecca McAuley.

In two consecutive weekends Arrow obtained his Companion Dog Title
with three High In Class Scores and one 3rd Place Ribbon! We
are so proud of this wonderful boy and his owner/handler Peter!!!
Arrow is from our Abbey x Ch Stanroph Spice Boy litter, and he is Abbey’s
first pup to have earned a CKC title!!! Arrow is owned and
loved by Peter and Chris Kuttenkeuler.
We are just thrilled to announce that Emma was awarded
the Makani Meadows Trophy and the Golden Amber Award by
the Golden Retriever Club of Canada for her high obedience scores
(195, 194, 194 & 189) in the 2003 Novice Class. These trophies
are awarded for the highest scoring Novice Golden and for the
highest scoring Golden with a Novice handler. Congratulations to both
Emma and Dave for excellent teamwork!

We are thrilled to announce that our sweet Briar Rose
now has her WC title and also 1 Leg towards her JH title!
Briar Rose is a very special girl who gives all that is
asked of her. We are now looking forward to finishing her JH title this fall.
Our George showing great style, was successful in obtaining the 2nd leg
of his JH title. Congratulations also to our friends Mary Jane
and Bernie LaRose on their girls accomplishments… a New JH title for Flurrie and Lyric’s 2nd JH leg!

What a great weekend we had!
Our Abbey finished her Companion Dog Title in 3 consecutive trials with 2 High in Class!!!

Malcolm and Duffy acquired Duffy’s CD title in 3 consecutive trials with a 2nd
and 3rd placement!!! Way to go Duffster!!!

We are so pleased our George now has his Working Certificate title.
My two boys (Grant and George) did a wonderful job and
are having so much fun together! Now on to those last two JH legs!
Another wonderful achievement for Duffy this spring.
Duffy is now a “Therapy Dog”, passing his test with the
organization “Therapeutic Paws” last night. Seeing how gentle
and loving Duffy is with her aging mother, who resides in a
nursing home, Duffy’s owner Sharon, thought Duffy would be perfect for the
role of Therapy Dog. Soon Duffy will be making many more new friends…..as he always does.
A true ‘golden’ boy, Duffy always brings a smile to everyone he meets.
We are so proud of you Duffster!

We’d also love to congratulate Pam Martin and Bruce Hiscoke
who own our Trio’s littermate Spenser. Spenser recently took a HIT
at the OVGRC trials with a score of 198 in Utility!
Another BIG BRAG!!!! Emma (Trio x Spice) has earned her CD title
in a very big way, going High in Class FOUR TIMES!!!
A huge congratulations to Emma and her owner/handler Dave Paton!
What a great team you two make.
