Achievements:
Tartan is our new shining star from Linirgor Kennels in Falkirk, Scotland. Tartan is a special boy, made even more so by being a great nephew to our Simon.
Tartan is a solid, confident, happy boy who has been doing very well in the show ring since winning Best Baby Puppy in Specialty Show at his first ever show.
Tartan has a lovely front with good upper arm and layback, a level topline with good tailset, tight feet and moderate bone. He has a scissors bite with one missing premolar.
SHOW NEWS
To date Tartan has had 2 Best Baby Puppy In Breed Wins, 1 Baby Puppy in Specialty Show, 10 BPIB, 3 BPIG (2 BPISS), 1 BOB and numerous RWD. Tartan is presently sitting on 7 pts towards his Championship title. All before 11 months old!
At just a few weeks under 1 yr of age, Tartan has another major win and obtains the pts needed to become a Champion! Tartan is our youngest to have been made a Champion. At 1 yr 1 week old, Tartan in his first two shows out of the puppy classes, goes Winners Dog and then in the second show goes Best of Breed and Group 3!!!!
We are now looking forward to another show year and are also gundog training. Tartan is very keen on the birds and is coming along so well in the field. A boy who is truly happy in any venue!
In July 2018 we travelled with Tartan back to his homeland of Scotland. Here would be the 150th Anniversary of the Golden Retriever at Guisachan, near Inverness, where the breed originated.
It was a lovely week with 361 Golden Retrievers in attendance, and time was again spent with Tartan’s parents, granny, siblings and paternal grandsire. At the GRCS Champ show Tartan was 3rd a lovely class, qualifying him for Crufts 2019.
After some sightseeing we then ventured down to the GRC Champ show were Tartan was VHC in his class.
Tartan had a whirlwind 2 weeks traveling on planes, trains and automobiles as well as buses and the ferry across the North Sea. Tartan even had a boat tour of Loch Ness! And everything he took in stride making many friends along the way!

In july 2018, we travelled back to Scotland with Tartan to Guisachan, to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Golden Retriever.

Tartan was shown at the Golden Retriever Club of Scotland’s Champ Show. Under Australian Judge Mrs Marilynn Morphet, Tartan was 3rd in the Yearling class, which qualified him for Crufts in 2019.
We then ventured down to England to the Golden Retriever Club show and under judge Ms. K. Ellis (Tenflield) Tartan was Highly Commended in the yearling class.

At the Oakville KC show under Judge Mr Colm Beattie (IE) Tartan goes Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday and the following day under Judge Mrs Rita McCarry-Beattie (IE) Tartan is Select Dog.
At 2yrs old Tartan now has 9 pts towards his Cdn Grand Champion title!

So nice to see Tartan going BOB, his daughter Flirt (who is very naked) placing 3rd in her Open Class, his granddaughter P!nk (Bridget x Teddy) going Winner’s Bitch for 3pts and grandson Tavish (Flirt x Teddy) going Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Ltd Group 1 Show for 5pts!!!

Tartan goes BOB and Grp 1 under Lab breeder judge Ms Pierette McLean. This win gives Tartan the final few points needed for his Grand Champion Bronze title!
